Ronaldo Valdez Cause Of Death – The Quezon City Police District (QCPD) has this initial report regarding the death of the veteran actor.
Ronaldo died on December 17, 2023, and this was confirmed by the QCPD. As of writing, his family has not released an official statement yet. Messages of sympathy and grief poured on social media as the entertainment industry lost another gem.
He was known as a versatile actor who was able to pull off different roles. Ronaldo did comedy shows and movies and he also played well his dramatic roles and even those projects in which he played the antagonist characters.
His most recent character Lolo Sir in Kathryn Bernardo and Daniel Padilla’s 2 Good 2 Be True series received love from the audience. The actress even shared her fondest memories of the veteran actor as her way of remembering him.
Following the confirmation that the veteran actor passed away, based on the report from Daily Tribune, Ronaldo Valdez was said to have suffered from depression following a prostate cancer operation last December 2022 at the Cardinal Santos Hospital.
His bloodied body was found by his driver Angelito Oclarit inside his room at Unit 25 Casa Nueva Homes, No. 15 Manga Street, Barangay Mariana in New Manila, Quezon City, on Sunday afternoon. It was said that Ronaldo’s body was lying on a chair with one hand holding a gun.
P/Cpt. Adhrin Domingo of the Scene of the Crime Operatives from QCPD Forensic Unit said that they recovered a caliber .45 Norinco pistol with serial number 454697 with an inserted empty magazine. There was also one fired cartridge case, and a gun case containing one empty magazine beside Ronaldo’s body.
Based on the investigation, the veteran actor sustained gunshot wounds on his right and left temple. It appeared that Ronaldo had committed su!c!de. However, QCPD Director P/Brig. Gen. Red Maranan said they could not yet confirm this because they are still waiting for laboratory test results.
“May inintay pa result ng lab exam from SOCO, before we can conclude,” Maranan said.
