Derek Ramsay and Ellen Edarna lost their bundle of joy
Actor Derek Ramsay revealed that his wife Ellen Adarna got pregnant but unfortunately, they lost the baby.
Derek and Ellen shared their plans to have their own baby early this year. The couple is aiming that by 2023, they will already be expecting their bundle of joy. Derek already had a son Austin from his past relationship while Ellen had her son Elias with actor John Lloyd Cruz.
In a press conference on December 11 for his movie Kampon with Beauty Gonzalez that is part of the Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF) 2023, Derek made a revelations about his personal life.
The actor shared that a few weeks ago, they found out that Ellen Adarna was pregnant. This made Derek Ramsay and his wife so happy. They found out about this during their recent vacation in Spain.
Ellen had a pregnancy test and it was positive. However, an unexpected event happened. “A great gift for her mom and to us and then nu’ng pauwi, nag-i-spotting na siya…and we lost the pregnancy,” Derek shared.
This was the reason why the couple immediately went to the hospital when they arrived in the county after their vacation. The actor admitted that after what happened, he was still “lutang” because of the rollercoaster of emotions that he had.
“Ako kasi worried ako, kasi tumatanda na ako, eh. Tapos nalaman nga naming pregnant si Ellen but then unfortunately nga we lost the baby,” the actor said. Derek also shared that his wife is fine and it was no need for her to be confined in the hospital.
They are hopeful that next year, they will be able to have their own child. On the brighter side, Derek Ramsay said that he and his wife realize that they can still have a baby and this is just their first attempt. “It’s sad that we lost the baby so may possibility pa rin na makabuo,” he said.
