Carlo Biado, one of the fast-rising pool player of the country today had dominated and eliminated three world titlists for the past few days. Biado had defeated former double world champion Ronnie Alcano in round 32.
During the Round of 16 Biado was able to disposed former 9-Ball Champion Daryl Peach of Great Britain and eventually defeated fellow compatriot and newly-crowned World 8-Ball Champion Dennis Orcullo in Round 16.
Carlo Biado’s journey to the semifinals was one of the impressive performance by a Filipino pool player. He defeated Alcano with a score of 9-1. Biado was able to dominate Daryl Peach with a score of 9-4. The youngest player of the tournament had surprised the Filipino fans when he was able to disposed off former world number 0ne pool player Dennis Orcullo with a 9-4 triumphed.
Biado will compete against Yukio Akakariyama of Japan, Huidji See from Netherlands and Fu Jianbo of China in the semifinal round. Fu Jianbo had earlier defeated Filipino Lee Van Corteza.
According to the latest development Biado was eliminated from the semifinals after his lost to Fu Jianbo of China with a score of 5-9. Fu will advanced to the Finals against Huidji See of the Netherlands for the much coveted title and the pot money of $60,000.
