Cebu Town Mayor Offers Reward to Catch Suspect Who Vandalized New Painted Wall
A Mayor in Cebu town offered a reward to those who can catch the suspects who allegedly vandalized a newly painted wall.
Junard Chan, the mayor of Lapu Lapu City, is enraged after seeing that their recently painted walls had been defaced. Chan stated in his statement that he couldn’t understand why the aforementioned organizations felt the need to vandalize their freshly painted walls.
He claims that the newly painted walls are part of their efforts to beautify the city of Lapu-Lapu. As a result, the mayor offered P30,000 to anyone who can teach those who pigged on their wall.
The perpetrators have yet to be identified, but netizens are already assisting in their pursuit. Some internet users believe that the vandalism was carried out by a group rather than a single person.
Two minors were detained for vandalism in Lapu-Lapu City, it should be noted. On April 22, Mayor Chan indicated on social media that the two would be sent to the City Social Welfare and Services (CSWS) office. Chan is also offering a cash reward of P20,000 for information leading to the arrest of other vandals in their city.
