Ice Seguerra was asked about Bimby Aquino
Here’s what singer-director Ice Seguerra said about the hosting stint of celebrity Bimby Aquino on the longest-running noontime show, Eat Bulaga.
Ice is the current director of the show with pioneer hosts Tito Sotto, Vic Sotto, and Joey de Leon. He also started in the show as a runner-up in the Little Miss Philippines segment back in 1987.
Just recently, the episodes of the show went viral with the surprise appearance of Bimby. Then, he became a guest co-host, and fans are shipping him and Ryzza Mae Dizon.
Avid viewers of Eat Bulaga, as well as fans of Bimby Aquino’s mom, Kris Aquino, also expressed their anticipation that the former will be a regular co-host.
In a recent interview, based on the article in Pang-Masa, Ice Seguerra was asked about his stint as a director of a live show. He said that it was different from directing a concert, which he has done before, but definitely he is enjoying.
“Nakakatuwa! Sa simula siyempre, I’m used to directing concerts you know, pero siyempre iba ‘yung live e. alam mo. So parang kailangan talagang aware ka sa lahat na mga nangyayari. Pero, we have an amazing team. Parang ‘yun pa lang, kalahati ng trabaho ko tapos na,” he said.
Now, he is more used to it. Then, Ice was asked if Bimby Aquino will be a regular host, he said, “I don’t know yet. I can’t say.’
On the other hand, they are happy to have Bimby on the show because the son of Kris Aquino is really a good person. “Mukha siyang nag-e-enjoy. “Nakakatuwa kasi, it’s been a while. The last time I saw Bimby, I think the last time, during the filming pa of you know (My) Little Bossings. Pero, the kid is very down to earth. Nakakatuwa lang, siya talaga ‘yung nag-a-approach, ‘I miss you’ ganyan,” Ice shared.
Meanwhile, Ice Seguerra was asked in a separate interview regarding the viral “Ryzza Mae” joke of It’s Showtime host Kim Chiu.
Ice admitted that he has not seen the actual video clip of the said joke, but he pointed out that it is better to just be kind.
