Kim has been a regular host of the Kapamilya noontime show It’s Showtime for many years now. Avid viewers are loving her energy and bubbly vibe on the show. They also enjoy Kim’s banter with her co-hosts, especially with Unkabogable Star Vice Ganda.
However, in one of the recent episodes of the noontime show, Kim received negative comments from netizens. It was because of a skit they did, and she mentioned the name “Ryzza Mae,” which apparently referred to Eat Bulaga host Ryzza Mae Dizon.
The longest-running noontime show has been It’s Showtime’s rival. Sometimes, hosts from both shows would mention the names of hosts from the other show. There were times that this would go viral and at times, become controversial, just like the skit that Kim did.
In a clip shared on Reddit, a skit featured Kim Chiu, Kent Manalo, and Jugs Jugueta. Kent, with his scared expression, was trying to tell Kim that there was a person behind her. Kim did not believe it, and Kent insisted there was, and it was the “Lotus Feet.”
When Kim looked behind her, Jugs appeared wearing the costume of a Lotus Feet character from the horror film Feng Shui. Then, the actress laughingly said, “Ryzza Mae.” After that, Jugs danced the choreography of Ryzza Mae Dizon’s Cha-Cha Dabarkads song.
