Kiko Pangilinan defended his previous statement about Leila de Lima
Senator Kiko Pangilinan explained the difference between the situations involving former Senator Leila de Lima and Senator Bato dela Rosa.
To recall, De Lima was detained in 2017 after she was accused of being involved in the alleged illegal drug trading inside the New Bilibid Prison.
However, in 2024, the Muntinlupa City Regional Trial Court (RTC) Branch 206 officially dismissed her third and final drug-related case. Currently, De Lima is serving as the Representative of the ML Partylist.

When the former Senator was detained, Sen. Kiko Pangilinan asked the Senate to allow her to join teleconference sessions. Pangilinan’s critics and supporters of Dela Rosa are pointing this out now. It was because Sen. Rodante Marcoleta proposed that Dela Rosa should be allowed to attend sessions via Zoom.
In a Facebook post, Pangilinan pointed out that De Lima and Dela Rosa were in a different situation.

Law breaker,” the husband of Megastar Sharon Cuneta stressed.
He also said that a lawbreaker should not be tolerated, and the public should not be deceived by this.
In the comment section of his post. Sen. Kiko Pangilinan received polarizing comments. Some netizens agreed with the Senator, but there were also netizens who pointed out some aspects to challenge his stand. Here are some comments.
