Jerald Napoles expressed happiness at being part of Coco Martin’s new series
Actor-singer Jerald Napoles had this request to Kapamilya primetime teleserye king Coco Martin.
Jerald did not remain under the comedy genre. Aside from acting, he is also known as among those who can sing. He even ventured into musical theater.
One of the recent blessings that he received was being part of the upcoming action-drama series Sigabo starring Coco and his real-life partner, actress Julia Montes.
In a recent interview, based on the article in Bandera, Jerald shared that aside from explosive action and drama scenes, viewers can expect the funny and amusing scenes.
Jerald Napoles said it was easy working on this project. “Hindi mabigat sa set dahil sa story. Comedy-action kasi. Pero, grabe pa rin action. Kagabi 12 midnight gumugulong si Coco Martin sa hagdanan,” the actor-singer said.
Jerald also shared that Coco gave him freedom on how he would give life to their characters, including the ad-libs that they would do.
“From Direk Coco Martin, sabi niya sa amin, may kalayaan kayo mag ad-lib paano mapapaganda eksena. Basta pasok sa character, storya. At may logic. Hindi basta basta may punchline,” Jerald shared.
The actor-singer could not help but express his admiration for the Kapamilya actor-director, as he wears multiple hats in this new series.
Just like his previous television series, Coco is also very hands-on as a director, writer, and producer, aside from being the lead actor.
“Ang sarap niya panoorin magtrabaho. Ngayon lang ako nakakita ng ganoong klaseng artista, kayang mag-multitask ng ganu’ng klase sa isang produksyon. Tapos effective. Yung Coco Martin, alam niya ang gagawin,” Jerald Napoles enthused.
Then, the actor-singer shared that he would always share with his wife, actress-singer Kim Molina, how happy he is to have the chance to work with Coco in a project.
Jerald quipped that it was because Coco’s teleseryes run longer than others. With this, the actor-singer had this “pakiusap” to Coco. “Matagal ang mga show niyan, eh. Ha-hahaha! Sabi ko ‘Direk Bro, thank you! Kakakasal ko lang. Wag mo muna ako patayin!’” Jerald laughingly said.
