In a recent interview on the YouTube channel of comedian Chad Kinis, Ogie Diaz tackled the topic of blind items that he shares.

Oftentimes, he would credit his blind item or “chika” to his sources. Previously, the talent manager-vlogger stressed that he would never reveal the identities of his sources.

However, some netizens would question whether he really has sources, and some would accuse him of just inventing stories.

Ogie revealed his sources in his recent interview. “Di ba yung mga artista nga ang source ko,” he said, adding that these celebrities would remind him not to quote them for anonymity.

He also said that if a celebrity told him a blind item that eventually would be proven true, he would not write negatively about that celebrity as his good source.

On the other hand, Ogie stressed that he is not paying these celebrities. “Nagreregalo ako, pero ang pangit kasi pag bayad eh, kasi baka mag-imbento na siya pag alam niyang may bayad,” he said.

Then, Chad recalled that Ogie was the first one he knew who did a blind item on TV. The talent manager-vlogger said that mentioned that he had a blind-item portion on the morning show, Magandang Umaga, Bayan, that eventually became Magandang Umaga Pilipinas, which is now known as Umagang Kay Ganda.

He felt that his blind items were the reasons why he was taken out of the show. Then, Ogie remembered a blind item he had at that time, and it was about a sultry actor who allegedly received a car from a congressman.

After the show, an actor called and cursed at him. The actor believed that the clues in the blind item were pointing at him. With this, Ogie asked the actor if he had a car that was from a congressman. The actor’s answer was “wala.”

The talent manager-vlogger pointed out that the actor was not the subject of the blind time, since, according to him, he has no car, which came from a congressman.

This portion of the interview was shared on Reddit, and netizens expressed reactions to Ogie Diaz for having celebrities as his sources.
