Max Collins talked about her new series with Dingdong Dantes
Kapuso actress Max Collins revealed that she asked the “blessing” of Kapuso Primetime Queen Marian Rivera for her new series, The Master Cutter, with Kapuso Primetime King Dingdong Dantes.
In the series, Max is Dingdong’s leading lady. Previously, the actress shared a video featuring her new leading man. This received “kinakabahan” comments from netizens because, for them, this might not sit well with Marian.
In a recent interview on GMA’s afternoon talk show Fast Talk with Boy Abunda, based on the article in Bandera, Max admitted that she asked Marian’s permission.
The actress revealed that she had Marian Rivera’s blessing for her onscreen partnership with Dingdong Dantes.
During the interview, King of Talk Boy Abunda asked Max Collins if she had love scenes with her leading man in the series.
“Maybe, parang that’s to be expected in an action show. It’s something you just have to wait and see in May,” Max answered.
As a sign of respect for the wife of her leading man, Max shared that she asked for a blessing. “I talked to her a lot, I got her support. And kasi, nagtrabaho kami before together sa My Guardian Alien, so we became friends,” the actress shared.
Even before The Master Cutter started, Max revealed that she had already talked to Marian, and the latter was very supportive. Max also revealed that even before she would post something about this project, she would message Marian.
“I always message her and ask, I make paalam out of respect. So, we have a very good relationship, and our kids all met,” she said. Max also shared that since she and Dingdong are in the same management, PPL Entertainment, they would have Christmas gatherings before.
In the same interview, the actress also shared that their series is about a very skilled, handsome man, named Atoy, played by Dingdong, who is an undercover agent and always in dark and dangerous places with crime.
“But at the same time, you’ll see that there is a lot of love. It’s about bringing him back to his loved ones and things like that, so you’ll find out later on,” she said.
Max Collins said that they filmed this on an island, and this project is close to her heart since she considers herself an island girl. She added that there is a comedy element in the series, which can cater to the whole family.
