Marian Rivera reportedly will make a movie under Star Cinema
The rumored transfer of Kapuso Primetime Queen Marian Rivera to ABS-CBN Network resurfaced.
There had been lingering rumors about Marian’s network transfer. This rumor has circulated since 2010 and would keep on resurface over the years.
In 2023, the rumor was hyped up when the A-list actress made a movie under Star Cinema, the film company under ABS-CBN, with her husband, Kapuso Primetime King Dingdong Dantes.
Their Star Cinema film Rewind became one of the highest grossing film af all time, in the Philippines. Just recently, the rumored network transfer once again found its own spotlight, based on the article in Manila Bulletin.
Reportedly, Marian Rivera and Dingdong Dantes will once again make a movie under Star Cinema which is set to be released this year.
Amid the lingering rumor that she will transfer, Marian has been very vocal regarding her loyalty to her home network. “Hindi ako lilipat dahil masaya ako bilang Kapuso,” she said.
The actress has been very grateful for the support and abundant projects she gets from GMA Network. Over the years, she has done hit teleseryes and movies under her home network. She also had some other shows, such as the drama anthology Tadhana, and the most recent is Stars on the Floor, in which she is one of the judges.
In 2024, Marian has once again proven her queenly caliber through the movie Balota, which brought her Best Actress award from Cinemalaya Independent Film Festival.
Behind her loyalty to GMA, Marian Rivera never closed her door for ABS-CBN. Back in 2019, she said that she’s open to making film with the Kapamilya network. This was the time when Kapuso actor Alden Richards had a successful crossover when he made the movie Hello, Love, Goodbye with Kapamilya actress Kathryn Bernardo.
