Belle found success in the entertainment industry from being a child star until she became a “Gen Z Superstar.” She has been under the management of Star Magic since 2012.
In 2020, her loveteam with actor Donny Pangilinan was born through the movie James and Pat and Dave. They were given the DonBelle moniker.
Just recently, Donny became a trending topic on social media. He shared a series of posts on his account on X, formerly Twitter, to tell netizens to stop bashing Kapuso actress Shuvee Etrata. The actor also defended Belle Mariano, saying that she should not be dragged into this issue.
This came after the viral video of Shuvee that circulated on social media, admitting her admiration for Donny, and she said that she “hates” Belle because the latter has Donny, whom Shuvee wanted to be her boyfriend.
Donny called out the toxic fans and said that the video was taken out of context. “As for Belle, please keep her out of your narratives. She is beautiful, talented, and most importantly, has a great heart. Nothing you say or do will change that,” he added.
Following the hate that has been thrown from both sides, Belle shared this meaningful post on her Instagram Story. She urged everyone to stay positive.
“Hi all! I call on everyone to let go of the negativity and hate that’s been going around,” the actress said. She also hoped that people online would promote kindness.
“There are bigger, more important things that need our attention. Let’s choose kindness, patience, and understanding. Wag na po tayong mag away-away. Have a blessed Holy Week, everyone,” Bella Mariano said. Previously, the Kapuso actress had already apologized for this.
