Marian Rivera talked about this incident with her daughter
Kapuso Primetime Queen Marian Rivera shared the initial reaction that her daughter, Zia Dantes, had upon knowing that she’s popular.
Marian is one of the most popular stars of her generation. With her achievements and milestones that come under her name, this resonated how famous she is and how many people recognize her.
Despite her career was on top, Marian did not hesitate to take a break from showbiz when she became a mother. The actress, and her husband, Kapuso Primetime King Dingdong Dantes, welcomed their daughter Zia in 2015, while their son Sixto was born in 2019.
Marian and Dingdong are very hands-on parents. The actress would share in interviews that she really present for her kids, including school activities.
In a recent interview on KC After Hours podcast, based on the article in Bandera, Marian Rivera amitted that it was challenging for her and her husband in raising their kids.
Somehow, one of the factors in this was that she and Dingdong are in the entertainment industry. Because of their popularity, it is also inevitable that their kids would become extensions to their fame.
“Sa totoo lang mahirap. Minsan kasi kapag nagpi-field trip ‘yung mga anak ko, lalo na si Zia kasi malaki siya, nakikilala siya ng mga tao,” Marian shared. With this, Zia would feel embarrased and she did not like the attention that she was getting.
“Napi-feel embarassed daw siya kasi minsan ‘yung mga classmates niya na parang ‘Paano ka nakilala nu’n?’” the Kapuso actress said. Marian shared that Zia was honest about what she felt and she really told her mom that she was not comfortable with it.
“So, parang sabi niya, ‘I don’t know Mama how to feel kasi parang I feel so embarrassed na, instead of magiging happy ako or I’m enjoying my field trip is parang nagwo-worry ako about people,’” the Kapuso Primetime Queen.
With this, Marian and Dingdong sat down with Zia and explained to her the nature of the profession that they have. The actress also shared that they apologized to their daughter if ever she felt embarassed because of them.
Marian Rivera also said that after explaining their profession to Zia, and telling her that their job provided for their family, the young girl already understand. Zia was able to adjust and she is now smiling if people would recognize her.
