Bea Alonzo returns after almost a year of her showbiz break
Kapuso actress Bea Alonzo shared the reason why she is not speaking about her boyfriend, Puregold CEO Vincent Co.
Bea has been in the industry for more than two decades. Last year, the actress chose to take a break from doing acting projects. Just recently, it was confirmed that Bea is set to return with a new TV series.
Based on the article in Pilipino Star Ngayon, Bea’s upcoming series titled Whispers From Heaven will also feature Tom Rodriguez, Cassy Legaspi, Maricar Reyes, and many more.
Bea Alonzo said that this series is special for her, since it is part of her 25th celebration in the entertainment industry.
Realizing that she is now 2 and a half decades in showbiz, Bea said that this means something to her and her audience. “Parang na-realize ko na this should be bigger than me as Bea, as an actress. Kailangan of service na do’n sa mga taong sumuporta sa ‘kin. And I feel like this project is very timely at masaya ako na GMA is producing something like this,” the actress shared.
The last series that Bea did before her break was Widows’ War with Kapuso star Carla Abellana. This ended in January last year, and after that, she did not do any acting projects.
While taking her showbiz break, the actress was able to focus on her personal life and businesses. Bea has been reaping the success of her business ventures outside the entertainment industry.
“Things are great, it’s something that I’ve always wanted to do also but never really found the time to do it na ‘yun talagang not wearing any other hat but that. So far feeling ko nakapag-create na tayo ng foundation,” she said.
Bea also said that she was very happy that she discovered a lot of things about herself. She was able to enjoy simple joys in her life that she missed while she was busy. The actress said that when one is in the public eye, because of the tendency to just see big things and big gestures, simple joys are forgotten to be enjoyed.
Bea Alonzo is happy when it comes to the status of her love life. However, the actress opted not to talk too much about this aspect of her personal life. It was a conscious effort because she is protecting her boyfriend, Vincent Co, who is not a showbiz personality.
“As much as I would like to share with you pero siyempre kasi I’m also protecting someone who’s not from showbiz. He has a private life. He’s a private individual,” the actress said.
