Victory Church Leader Breaks Silence on Alvin Aragon Issue
ALVIN ARAGON – As online reactions continue to pour in, a Victory Church pastor has stepped forward to share his perspective on the controversy involving Alvin Aragon.
Amid the ongoing controversy involving former actor Alvin Aragon, a pastor from Victory Church has spoken out, urging the public to respond with grace rather than hostility.
The issue began after Aragon’s remarks about the LGBT community circulated online, sparking strong reactions from netizens and several public figures. His statements, which also touched on matters involving his wife Izzy Trazona’s transgender child, Sofia Trazona, quickly became a topic of heated discussion across social media platforms.

During Tuesday’s episode of Fast Talk With Boy Abunda, host Boy Abunda shared that the program reached out to Victory Church Pasay Pastor Nixon Ng to clarify the church’s position and to gain insight into Aragon’s beliefs. According to Abunda, the pastor explained that Aragon’s views reflect convictions commonly held by many Christians, particularly regarding the LGBT community and the roles of fathers and husbands within the family. However, he emphasized that these beliefs must always be communicated with compassion.
“Bahagi ng kanyang statement ay sinasabi niyang, he has that belief of Alvin about the LGBT Community and the role of the father and the husband in the family is not different from the belief of other Christians.
“But [Ng] believes that Christians should share their conviction with compassion. Conviction and compassion must always come together.
“Naniniwala din siya that the public should be gracious towards Alvin. He noted that most Christians, especially in the early stages of their faith, could be overly passionate and excited about sharing their beliefs. But eventually daw they grow as Christians,” he said.
Pastor Ng also pointed out that individuals who are new in their spiritual journey may sometimes express their beliefs with intense enthusiasm. Over time, he said, maturity in faith allows them to balance strong convictions with empathy and understanding.
As discussions continue online, the pastor’s appeal serves as a reminder of the importance of respectful dialogue. While opinions may differ sharply, he underscored the value of extending grace, especially in moments of public disagreement.
