Rhian Ramos will take legal action against fake news peddlers
Kapuso actress Rhian Ramos will file a case against individuals who spread defamatory statements against her.
Last month, Rhian—along with her friends Michelle Dee and Samantha Bernardo—was entangled in a controversy when her former driver and personal assistant accused them of torture and illegal detention.
Previously, the legal counsels of the three female celebrities had already denied the allegations against Rhian’s driver, Bonifacio Baro.
Based on the article in PEP, the camp of Rhian Ramos started preparing to bring this matter to the court. It was said they will file civil and criminal charges against those individuals who spread allegations about the Kapuso star’s alleged sensitive images.
Rhian’s legal counsel, Kapunan & Castillo Law Offices, released a statement on February 23, 2026, denying the allegations against the actress.
Even though her camp did not specify the sensitive images, it was said that Baro, whom Rhian trusted, illegally took the images to tarnish her reputation.
“The camp of Rhian Ramos vehemently denounces the malicious and utterly false information currently circulating about her, circling around some photographs that are said to depict her in compromising positions. For the record, these photographs were unlawfully taken and stolen by a driver, a person deeply trusted by Ms. Ramos,” Rhian’s lawyer stressed.
Rhian’s camp also emphasized that the confidence had been betrayed. The actress was aware that the fabricated statements against her that circulated on social media were meant to “embarrass her and besmirch her reputation.”
Rhian’s lawyer added that aside from being baseless, the claims against her were “s*xist attacks” that destroyed her dignity as a woman, which is unacceptable in this age.
Her camp also revealed that they already identified individuals who spread fake narratives about her, and they were still monitoring those who continued to share these kinds of posts online.
“Accountability is not vengeance, it is a necessary affirmation that truth matters, and that actions have consequences. We are now preparing to file the necessary civil and criminal cases against perpetrators who continue to besmirch the reputation of Ms. Ramos,” the actress’s camp stated.
