Carlo Aquino talked about this realization
Kapamilya actor Carlo Aquino said that he is no longer in his “suplado era,” and this was the reason for this.
Carlo started young in the entertainment industry. He was known as one of the brilliant child actors of his generation. Over the years, he has proven his versatility, and this was one of the many factors that contributed to his longevity in showbiz.
However, Carlo is aware that people would comment on his attitude. In a recent interview, based on the article in PEP, the actor knew that people would comment that he is “suplado” or a snob.

Carlo Aquino said that he would always be a “just” person and would cry foul only if he thinks that he is being aggrieved.
He also said that he is the kind of person who does not talk that much or engage in discussions. Carlo also does not like confrontations, and as much as possible, he would stay away from this.
Being aware of the people’s comments about him, the actor said that he learned to open up. “Kaya nga mas ano na ako ngayon, mas nagsasalita na ako, kasi yun yung mga dating sinasabi nila na, ‘suplado naman yan. Di naman namamansin yan.’ Saka siguro maturity din na mas na-appreciate ko na yung buhay,” he said.
Carlo recalled his withdrawn demeanor during the press conference for the movie Goyo in 2018, which featured Paulo Avelino as the lead star. He admitted that he did not want to answer questions at that time. “I was such a douche,” he admitted.

The actor also said that he is not the kind of person who would easily engage in a conversation with anyone. However, this has changed now. “Now, mas light na nga ako because of Charlie and my daughter,” he said, referring to his wife, actress Charlie Dizon, and his daughter Mithi.
Carlo Aquino said that now, he speaks more during interviews and press conferences. He would also go to other tables during gatherings to say hi to the people. The actor has become more sociable and approachable.
On the other hand, the actor clarified that his previous aloofness was not because of thinking that his status in the entertainment industry should be recognized. “Kasi kahit ako, hindi naman ako naniniwalang magaling ako,” he stressed.
