Where is Atong Ang? Is he still in the country?
Wanted businessman Atong Ang is still on the loose, and according to reports, he may possibly be in Cambodia right now.
Initially, a Laguna court issued an arrest warrant against businessman Atong Ang and several others for their alleged involvement in the missing sabungeros case.
He was accused of kidnapping with homicide and kidnapping.

Amid the warrants, Ang was advised by his lawyer not to surrender until they exhaust all available legal remedies in court.
Acting PNP chief Lt. Gen. Jose Melencio C. Nartatez, Jr. said, “We expect him to use his huge reserve of resources to avoid being caught. But I advise him to use that instead to defend himself in court rather than play hide and seek with us because he will be arrested eventually.”
As of this writing, the businessman remains on the loose and is now considered a fugitive.
While the authorities are still tracking his location, there were speculations that he might be in Cambodia. There’s a possibility, but as per the authorities, the intel and reports show that he is still in the Philippines.
Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) Secretary Jonvic Remulla believes that “he is still in the Philippines,” after the Cambodian foreign ministry confirmed that he neither traveled to nor entered the Southeast Asian nation.
The Cambodian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation said last February 6 that “there is no record of Charlie Tiu Hay Ang’s entry or exit at any Cambodian border checkpoints.”
Justice Secretary Fredderick Vida acknowledged that the gaming businessman might be in Cambodia, where he has allegedly maintained his online sabong business. However, the department believes that Ang remains in the country, as the Bureau of Immigration has consistently said there is no record of him leaving the Philippines.
“Patuloy pong gumaganap ang inyong mga law enforcement agencies, patuloy po nating hinahanap,” Vida said.
