Lara Quigaman Undergoes Series of Heart Tests After Frightening Incident
LARA QUIGAMAN – Actress and former beauty queen Lara Quigaman recently revealed a frightening health scare that led her to undergo several heart examinations.
Actress and former beauty queen Lara Quigaman recently opened up about a health scare that prompted her to undergo a series of medical examinations to ensure her heart is in good condition.
In an Instagram Story shared on Thursday, February 4, Lara revealed that she was rushed to the hospital in November 2025 after experiencing intense chest pain. The incident alarmed her family and led to immediate medical attention.
“Last November, Marco had to call 911 as I was having severe chest pain, unlike I’ve ever felt before. I was rushed to the hospital in an ambulance, and since then I’ve had a series of tests to find out what’s happening with my heart. Even though doctors ruled out that the pain wasn’t cardiac-related, they want to be cautious and make sure it’s working properly,” said Lara.
Although doctors initially determined that the pain was not related to a heart condition, they recommended further examinations to rule out any possible issues and to ensure that her heart was functioning properly.
Providing an update, Lara shared that she recently underwent additional tests to check for possible blockages. “Today, a few more tests were done to make sure there are no blockages. I had to be at the hospital for more than four hours, but those hours also meant having the time to reflect and pray.”
Lara Quigaman admitted that waiting for test results can sometimes be emotionally challenging, especially when symptoms such as chest discomfort or shortness of breath resurface.
“Sometimes I feel anxious, waiting for results and especially when I feel pain in my chest area or when I feel short of breath. But I am grateful for this season. God is teaching me to trust and be still before Him and to give Him my heart—literally,” said Lara.
Despite the uncertainty, Lara chooses to focus on her faith. She ended her message with words of encouragement for those experiencing similar fears.
“If you are going through something similar, if you feel fear or uncertainty, may this be a reminder to be still and know that God is God and to give your heart to Jesus too. He loves you, He will always be faithful, and He is in control. The happiest heart is the one resting in God’s hands,” she concluded.
