After Decades Apart, Onemig Bondoc Finds His Safe Place in Aiko Melendez
ONEMIG BONDOC – In a candid and heartfelt moment, Onemig Bondoc revealed just how much Aiko Melendez means to his life today.
After nearly three decades of missed chances, lingering feelings, and separate journeys, Onemig Bondoc has made it clear just how much Aiko Melendez means to him. In the second part of his recently uploaded YouTube vlog featuring the councilor-actress, the former actor did not hold back, especially when it came to expressing his heart.
Throughout their candid conversation, the two spoke about reconnecting after 29 years. While they both admitted they are still catching up on lost time and have yet to put a label on their relationship, Onemig’s words revealed the depth of his emotions.
Reflecting on their past, he shared how he once waited for Aiko in Subic years ago, believing in fate and destiny. Though things did not work out then, he now sees a bigger plan at play. “I guess gusto pa ni Lord na maging masaya ako at siya rin and that was another 15 years. So, I waited for another 15 years I don’t know if she waited for me, but I did wait for her.”
He also clarified misconceptions about being rejected in the past, admitting that fear and pride got in the way. This time around, however, he no longer wants to waste the opportunity. With both of them now older and wiser, he emphasized living in the present and choosing happiness over pride or mind games.
The most touching moment came when Aiko asked him directly, “Do I make you happy?”
Without hesitation, Onemig responded, “Of course! You’re my life!”
Surprised, Aiko laughed and reminded him they were on his YouTube channel. But Onemig looked straight at the camera and doubled down on his declaration.
“Inaamin ko, she’s my life. I don’t feel complete without her. For the first time (sinabi), you’re my safe place.”
His words carried the weight of 29 years, of what could have been and what may finally be. For Onemig, Aiko is not just someone he reconnected with; she is his safe place, his happiness, and, as he boldly declared, his life.
