Ice Seguerra made this major decision in his life and career
Singer Ice Seguerra recalled the time when he revealed to the public his gender preference.
Ice literally grew up before the public eye. At a young age, he gained popularity as the child star Aiza Seguerra after joining Little Miss Philippines on the longest-running noontime show, Eat Bulaga. His showbiz stints continued until he became a teenager.
Eventually, he was faced with a major transition in his life and career. In a recent interview for his upcoming concert, based on the article in Manila Bulletin, Ice talked about the pivotal moment that he had.

Ice Seguerra recalled the time when he finally came out as his true self. It was in a show, even though he forgot which show he appeared on, he remembered what happened. Back then, it was not his intention to reveal to the public his gender preference.
“Noon tinanong ako kung lesbian ako, hindi ako sumagot ng yes or no. Pero yung pagka-edit nila, it felt like I said yes,” recalled Ice. And the rest was history,” the singer shared.
He believed that he made the right decision. However, it was inevitable that sometimes, doubts crept in. Ice admitted that sometimes he would think that his career might have gone to higher heights if only he kept the reality and clung to what the public first knew about him.

“Feeling ko kung hindi ako out, I’d be a bigger star. May endorsements left and right. Hindi ko rin alam kasi maliit lang ako. Pero at what cost?” he said.
Ice admitted that there was fear of coming out back then, as he was thinking that it would affect his career, but eventually, he was happy that he did it. “I am glad I came out. Happy ako, I am able to share my songs and myself,” the singer said.
He also said that he did not have to hide anymore who he really is and the person he loves. Going back and forth to whoever he is in front of and behind the camera, Ice Seguerra said that he no longer has to pretend. What people see in him is what they get.
