Kathryn Bernardo and Mark Alcala’s alleged date photo surfaced online
The uploader of the alleged photo of Asia’s Superstar, Kathryn Bernardo, and Lucena City Mayor Mark Alcala released a statement.
It has been months since rumors linking Kathryn and Mark circulated online. Allegedly, they were spotted together in certain places and had their alleged secret trips abroad.
Despite the lingering rumors, Kathryn and Mark remained silent. There was also a rumor that they were already living together in a condo unit.
Last month, a photo of a man and a woman’s back, apparently on a date, circulated on social media. Allegedly, these were Mark Alcala and Kathryn Bernardo. However, fans of the actress slammed the photos and stressed that it could not be confirmed that the girl in the photo was the Asia’s Superstar.
In line with this matter, based on the article in Abante, the uploader of the photo released a statement.
“It has been a wild weekend. I was told not to react anymore, but my stubborn nature whose primary means of expression is writing, is telling me otherwise. I failed to foresee how massive this could get,” the uploader said.
Through what happened, lessons were learned, including how dangerous social media can be. “With the help of Al, reality is easily twisted, and truth is manipulated. Frighteningly, this is clearly not limited to show business,” the netizen added.
The photo uploader also thanked those who sent messages, but stressed that everything’s okay. “I am perfectly fine because I know my truth. No hurtful words can affect me, especially those from people hiding behind fake accounts,” the netizens stressed.
However, the uploader admitted that it was disheartening that some people would easily believe AI-generated stuff to cover up the truth, and that it was also saddening that some people can be really disrespectful. For the uploader, the world is not a safe place, especially on social media.
The netizen also apologized to friends who were dragged into this “rubbish mess.” It was because other netizens also attacked them because the uploader was seen partying with them the night the photo was shared online.
“My apologies also go to the involved personalities if I ruined their holiday season. I did not know it would spread so much hatred, but through this, I’ve realized how frustrated people are with our government. Much of the hatred was fueled by anger over corruption. Like me, it seems many others are starting to lose trust in all politicians,” the uploader said, referring to Mark Alcala and Kathryn Bernardo.
