Luis Manzano & Jessy Mendiola Tease What’s Coming in 2026
LUIS MANZANO – Celebrity couple Jessy Mendiola and Luis Manzano are closing 2025 with gratitude, reflection, and renewed focus on what truly matters to them.
Celebrity couple Jessy Mendiola and Luis Manzano took time to reflect on the milestones and challenges that defined their 2025, while also offering a glimpse of what they are looking forward to in 2026. For Jessy, the past year marked a major professional comeback.
She returned to acting through the action-drama series “Sins of the Father,” ending a six-year hiatus from television. Speaking during their Thanksgiving event, Jessy expressed how fulfilling the experience was for her both personally and professionally. “I can confidently say that we’ve already found the right pattern for the two of us, our family and individually,” she shared. She also credited ABS-CBN for allowing her to return to the screen. “Akalain niyo nakabalik pa ako, right? After six long years, taray, a-acting ulit ang Jessy Mendiola. I also proved to myself that I was able to finish a show.”

Meanwhile, Luis reflected on a very different journey after losing his bid for Batangas vice governor in the 2025 local elections. Despite the setback, his family celebrated political victories, with his mother Vilma Santos winning as Batangas governor and his brother Ryan Christian Recto being proclaimed Batangas sixth district congressman.
Luis admitted that the period following the elections was difficult, especially as some brand endorsements stepped away when he entered politics. “With everything we went through, everything that’s going on… For me, I found my niche once again,” he said, referring to his renewed focus on hosting projects. He candidly shared, “For example, there are certain brands na hindi nakapag-renew (contracts), which is completely understandable for business reasons.”
Despite the challenges, Luis said things eventually aligned again, allowing him to return fully to the entertainment industry. He expressed gratitude to the brands that stayed with him and emphasised that his priority now is hosting and family life. “But marami pa rin akong itutulong sa amin sa Batangas. But if we talk about running again, I’m no longer thinking about it.”

Looking ahead, Luis teased several hosting projects lined up for 2026, including the return of a daily game show and other programs.
On the family front, the couple also celebrated meaningful milestones. Jessy marked her birthday on December 3, while their daughter Isabella Rose, fondly called Peanut or Rosie, turned three on December 28. When asked about the possibility of a sibling, Luis shared a sweet moment with his daughter: “I asked her, ‘Do you want to be an ate na?’ She said no.”
