Zanjoe Marudo was asked about the issue that the Atayde family is going through right now
Kapamilya actor Zanjoe Marudo admitted that he and his wife, actress Ria Atayde, went through a difficult time when her brother, Quezon City 1st District Cong. Arjo Atayde was dragged into the flood control project issue.
However, the actor quickly clarified that the rumor that he and Ria separated because of this issue is not true.
To recall, rumors surfaced that Zanjoe and Ria were no longer together, and allegedly, this has something to do with a corruption issue. In a recent interview, based on the article in Bandera, the actor said that he did not want to engage in fake news online.
Zanjoe Marudo shared that he received calls from people asking him if the rumor was true, and he answered, “Bakit yan ang libangan niyo?!” He thought that those people would like to know the story and they would share this with friends, but this is not true.
The Kapamilya actor also said that it is no secret to many people that their family has been going through a lot these past few months.
“The best way kasi is parang support lang. Yun naman yung mga ipinangako namin sa isa’t isa na, through thick and thin, nandito ako para sa iyo. Kumbaga, hindi tayo magdadalawang-isip sa isa’t isa,” the Kapamilya actor said.
Even though he and his wife are not involved in the recent corruption controversy, they are still affected, but it is painful for them that their loved ones are going through this difficult time.
“Actually, we’re okay now. Lahat kami, okay kami. Mas tumibay kami. Nakikita namin kung ano yung value… kung hanggang saan namin kayang, kumbaga, kapitan yung isa’t isa,” Zanjoe Marudo said.
