Sue Ramirez and Andrea Brillantes are the calendar girls of two of the most popular liquor brands
Actress Sue Ramirez shared her thoughts on her fellow actress and calendara girl Andrea Brillantes.
It has been a tradition of major liquor companies in the Philippines to launch their calendar girls for the following year a few weeks before the end of the current year.
This year, Tanduay chose Andrea. Before she was launched as the brand’s calendar girl, she said she considered a lot of factors, including her family and fans’ reaction.
However, Andrea, who recently transferred to TV5 after being a Kapamilya for many years, said that she felt that she was ready for this kind of stint. She was first known as a child star in the entertainment industry.
In Sue Ramirez’s case, being the Ginebra 2026 Calendar Girl was a dream come true. She admitted that she had been praying for this, and she was thankful that it finally happened.
In an interview, based on the article in Manila Bulletin, Sue shared the exact moment when she was told about this. “I was in the condo, and my handler called me. Umiyak talaga ako, as tears fell from my eyes because I was so, so happy,” the actress shared.
Sue also shared that her boyfriend, Dominic Roque, was very supportive of her calendar girl stint.
Andrea was launched as the Tanduay 2026 Calendar Girl weeks before Sue’s launch. The older actress said that she is proud of the younger actress.
Sue stressed that there is no competition between her and Andrea. She added that they are different kinds of women, having different shapes and stories, and each of them represents a specific audience. Sue said that she is proud of Andrea, and she hopes the younger actress is also proud of her Ate Sue.
“Actually hindi kami magkatapat, we are women uplifting each other, we are women, different types of women, various shapes, and we all represent someone else who is watching, and I’m proud of her really for what she’s achieved in her launch also, and sana proud din siya sa ate sue niya.” Sue Ramirez said.
