Catriona Gray Leads the Charge Against Corruption in Powerful November 30 Rally
CATRIONA GRAY – Filipinos were filled with pride as Catriona Gray delivered a powerful message challenging corruption during the November 30 rally.
“That’s my queen right there.”
Miss Universe 2018 Catriona Gray once again captured the admiration of Filipinos, not with a crown, but with her courage. The beauty queen earned widespread praise after speaking out against corruption and political dynasties during the second Trillion Peso March Movement (TPMM) rally held on Sunday, November 30.
The TPMM, which launched its first demonstration after the flood control corruption scandal erupted, gathered thousands at the EDSA People Power Monument for its second major protest. Catriona joined a lineup of public figures who took part in the event, including Rep. Leila de Lima of Mamamayang Liberal party-list, actors Pokwang, Pinky Amador, Mitch Valdez, and Elijah Canlas, along with musical performers Ben&Ben, Maki, and Amiel Sol.

During her speech, Catriona delivered a powerful message on how corruption erodes the lives of ordinary Filipinos. She emphasized that widespread misuse of public funds continues to deprive communities of essential services and basic needs. “Today, we stand here as Filipinos who are tired. Tired of watching corruption steal food from our tables, steal medicines from our hospitals, classrooms from our children, and safety from our communities,” she said.
She also pointed out how Filipinos repeatedly suffer from disasters while billions in public funds remain unaccounted for. “We have watched our families flooded again and again — with the public funds that were meant to protect them — are pocketed. Billions of pesos disappeared without accountability, without justice, without answers,” she added.
Catriona warned that many have become discouraged due to a lack of change, saying, “What scares me the most is this — many are starting to forget why we are angry… Sobrang tahimik, nakakabingi! Bakit tayo pumapayag?”
She challenged the public to break their silence and push back against a system that “benefit[s] the corrupt few,” stressing that only those in power win when corruption thrives.

In her closing remarks, she urged key institutions to take immediate action. “That’s why today, we demand action! To the Ombudsman, file the cases now! … pass the anti-political dynasty bill because power should not be inherited,” she exclaimed.
Catriona’s speech quickly went viral, further solidifying her reputation as one of the country’s most outspoken beauty queens committed to social issues.
