Julie Anne San Jose introduced a new song
Asia’s Limitless Star and Kapuso actress Julie Anne San Jose talked about her latest single titled Simula.
Julie Anne’s career in the entertainment industry was first focused on music. She was part of the televised singing competition Pop Star Kids. From that, her singing career blossomed.
However, as she aged in the entertainment industry, she was also given opportunities to star in TV series and movies. Her acting prowess received praise when she portrayed the character of Maria Clara in the series Maria Clara at Ibarra.
Just recently, the newest opportunity she had was focused on her singing career. The actress-singer released a new single. Based on the article in GMA Entertainment, the song debuted at number one on iTunes Philippines in the second half of November.
This goes to show that many people can relate to the emotional theme of her song. Besides that, this also proved how supportive her fanbase is.
The song tackled hope, healing, and renewal. It is an anthem for starting over and staying positive after going through a heavy phase in life.
It also signifies a fresh start and new beginnings. After a drastic happening, the song reminds everyone that there is still another option, which is moving forward.
In a social media post, Julie Anne San Jose shared the meaning of the song for her. “New beginnings don’t require a perfect version of yourself — just an honest one. Simple at totoong SIMULA. Hindi pinipilit, hindi minamadali,” the actress-singer said.
She also said that after being tired for too long, one could acquire the energy needed. This should not be considered just as a small thing because little by little, a change is coming.
“At siguro, sapat na muna iyon. Sapat na para magsimula muli sa sariling oras at sa sariling paraan.” For anyone who’s trying to put themselves back together, better days are ahead. This is for you. All love and light,” Julie Anne said.
