Andrea Brillantes Has a Strong Message for Suitors
ANDREA BRILLANTES – While staying happily single, Andrea Brillantes has revealed what it really takes for a man to catch her attention.
Kapamilya star Andrea Brillantes is fully enjoying her single status, and for now, she’s not in any hurry to jump into a new romance. Despite earlier buzz linking her to Filipino-Jordanian ex-basketball player Sam Fernandez, their dates seemingly did not move forward into a serious relationship.
Relishing her newfound freedom, Andrea discussed what matters most to her in an interview with ABS-CBN. She said she’s completely fine spending the holiday season as the “third wheel” to her family and closest friends, insisting she doesn’t feel lonely at all. “Hindi ko priority now (ang pakikipagrelasyon. Sa family, ako na lang wheel. (Walang dyowa) but it is okay, I am happy. Masaya ako,” she said.
In discussing her love life, Andrea made it clear that she’s drawn to men who are confident and courageous enough to pursue her without hesitation. She pointed out that self-assurance is an essential trait she looks for in someone who wants to win her heart. “Kung na-intimidate sila, that’s not my fault. Kung gusto talaga ako, tapangan nila. Kung hindi, at least ma-short list ko,” she explained, noting that she wants someone strong enough to match her own bold personality. “Tapang tapang ko, dapat mas malakas sa akin,” she added.
Earlier this year, Andrea confirmed she and Sam had been spending time together, but she clarified that they were never in an exclusive relationship. She reminded the public that she has been single for two years and is simply open to meeting new people—not rushing into anything serious. “Sinabi ko naman na open ako sa pag-de-date kasi two years na rin naman akong walang boyfriend. Naloloka ako kasi ang daming nagsasabi na bakit may boyfriend na raw ako agad, I’m just dating,” she said.
Andrea also mentioned that she is currently seeing someone, though she opted to keep his identity private. “I am dating someone right now. He’s a private person. And he’s also not a basketball player. He used to play. I’ve known him for a while. We’ve been friends for many many years,” she revealed.
Despite the curiosity surrounding her love life, Andrea remains unwavering—content, self-assured, and living life in her own time.
