The controversial involvement in a scandal is the most painful and intense intrigue Amanda Page has ever experienced in the entertainment industry. She said that she was not given the opportunity to explain herself when the sensitive video was leaked to the public.

During the interview, Boy Abunda asked her why she suddenly quit showbiz in 2001, at the height of her popularity.

Allegedly, I was in a s=x video. I think that one was the most painful because I think ‘yun ‘yung pinaka-ano, because it almost as if like, schadenfreude (natutuwa sa kamalasan ng kapwa) people want to believe the worst about someone,” Amanda Page shared

She pointed out that she did not have the opportunity to tell her side of the story because she said, It’s always like whatever’s negative out there is what people will always believe.

The former actress also admitted that she didn’t see herself staying in the entertainment industry long, even though her career was going so well in 2001. At that time, she was already thinking that showbiz was not her endgame.

“I wasn’t going to grow old in showbiz. I wasn’t going to stay in showbiz. I always knew going into it that this was just a portion of my life and that I was going to move on,” she shared.

Meanwhile, Amanda thanked three individuals for their great contribution to her showbiz career. First is Viva Entertainment Boss Vic (del Rosario), who gave her her first break. She is also thankful to Maribeth Bichara because she was Amanda’s mentor, and she had a fun time working with her.

The third person she thanked was the late Action King Fernando Poe Jr. Amanda was able to collaborate with the film icon in a movie. “I think that I really enjoyed the time I had working with him and the break I got from, you know, just I got to work with him,” Amanda Page shared.
