Why Andrea Brillantes Vows to Be ‘Dad’ to Her Best Friend’s Child
ANDREA BRILLANTES – Actress Andrea Brillantes is proving that friendship can be as strong as family as she opens up about her commitment to becoming the “dad” of Bea Borres’ baby.
Andrea Brillantes has once again shown the depth of her loyalty and affection as a friend, revealing why she is fully committed to being a “dad” figure to the baby of her best friend, content creator Bea Borres. The young actress shared her heartfelt thoughts during a recent launch event where she was introduced as the brand’s first Filipina ambassador.
Brillantes did not hold back her emotions when talking about Borres’ approaching due date. “Iiyak ako talaga (I’m really going to cry). If only I can live on the same roof as her so I can be there talaga but I’m going to cry for sure,” she admitted, expressing how deeply involved she is in Borres’ journey to motherhood.

As Borres enters the final phase of her pregnancy, Brillantes has taken on a central role in offering emotional and personal support. Their bond, she explained, has grown even stronger during this time. “Para talaga kaming mag-jowa (It seems like we’re partners) but I’m committed to her,” she said with a laugh. “It’s a relationship. We’re sisters. Kulang na lang, may vows na kami [para] sa isa’t isa (What’s missing is the vows we have for each other).”
For Brillantes, her dedication comes from a place of genuine love and friendship. She emphasized that one of the biggest reasons she wants to remain at Borres’ side is the latter’s high-risk pregnancy. “She is my best friend. We’re sisters. We’re more than best friends. She really needs all the support she can get right now, especially with her having a high-risk pregnancy. I know that it means the world to her that people are there for her and Baby Pea,” she said.

She also highlighted how important it is for friends to remain present during challenging times. “Gan’un ako magmahal as a friend. Tingin ko dapat lahat ng kaibigan, gan’un magmahal. Hindi sila [dapat] mawala kahit may pinagdadaanan (That’s how I love as a friend. I believe that all friends should love like this. They shouldn’t leave each other even if they’re going through something),” she added.
With Baby Pea’s arrival drawing closer, Brillantes continues to stand firmly by Borres—proving that family is not only defined by blood, but by the love and commitment shared between lifelong friends.
