Melai Cantiveros is celebrating the 4th season of her Kuan On One
Kapamilya comedienne-host Melai Cantiveros revealed the first thing that she would do if she were the president of the Philippines.
Melai has come a long way since she became the big winner of Pinoy Big Brother: Double Up in 2009. Her showbiz career continued to bloom with different opportunities given to her by her home network.
Aside from hosting the Kapamilya reality show, Melai also has her own online talk show titled Kuan On One, in which she features famous Cebuano personalities. The show is a success and it is now in its season 4.
In a recent interview, based on the article in Pilipino Star Ngayon, Melai Cantiveros was asked a hypothetical question. She was asked what she would do to a corrupt government official if she were the president of the country.
“Kung ako ang presidente ng Pilipinas, pag nalaman kong may kasalanan, kulong kaagad. Kasi ba’t kailangan pa nating patagalin. Kung may kasalanan, sabihin sa DOJ, tapos kulong agad,” the comedienne-host.
She added that a political dynasty is also bad, and she wanted to address this issue immediately. For her, there is no need to tarry the process if one is found guilty.
Meanwhile, for the 4th season of her show, Melai expressed her desire to interview Ellen Adarna, who has become a trending topic online these past few days because of her revelations about her estranged husband Derek Ramsay.
“Ang question ko talaga sa kanya, ‘how are you? how are you now?’ Kasi ‘di ba sa mga pinagdaraanan niya, kumusta siya,” Melai shared, adding that as a mom, she would ask Ellen how she surpasses these all, or if she has really surpassed them. Melai also wanted to ask her fellow celebrity if she could share some tips to overcome the issue.
“Be respectful, kasi siya ang nag-devulge. Hayaan natin siya na mag-open up, o pag hindi siya nag-open up, ‘di open-close. Ganun lang naman, simple lang,” the comedienne-host jokingly said.
Then, Melai Cantiveros shared that she also wants to interview her friend Kim Chiu. However, when she was asked if Kim is now in a relationship with Paulo Avelino, Melai answered, “Sila ba? wala akong alam.”
