Actress Andrea Brillantes shared that she is happy being single now, and her love life is not her priority right now.
Andrea started young in the entertainment industry, but she already had her fair share of controversies, especially when it comes to her love life. Her relationship and breakup with basketball player Ricci Rivero was quite controversial. She was also linked to some male celebrities.
Early this year, rumors circulated that she was dating a non-showbiz guy. Rumor has it that it was a San Beda College athlete named Sam Fernandez, as they were spotted holding each other’s hands.
Then, in March this year, she confirmed that she is dating a non-showbiz guy. However, she said that they have been friends for many years already. The actress did not divulge more details about the guy and their relationship.
In a recent interview, based on the article in ABS-CBN Entertainment, Andrea Brillantes shared that being single gives her happiness. The actress said that there is no issue with her if ever she were to be the third wheel with her friends and family members this holiday season.
It is because she is content being single right now. “Hindi ko priority now,” the actress said. She also said, “Sa family, ako na lang wheel. [No partner] but it is OK, I am happy. Masaya ako.”
Then, she shared the traits she is looking for in a future partner. Andrea said that she wants someone confident enough to pursue her. “Kung na-intimidate sila… that’s not my fault. Kung gusto talaga ako, tapangan nila. Kung hindi, at least ma-short list ko,” she explained. “Tapang tapang ko, dapat mas malakas sa akin,” she explained.
Meanwhile, Andrea Brillantes decided to transfer to TV5 after spending many years under the Kapamilya network. Her last acting project in ABS-CBN was in the primetime action-drama series Batang Quiapo.
