In a recent Instagram post, Jodi Sta Maria shared photos taken during a typhoon, flooded areas, the bayanihan, and the destruction that happened after.

The photos had a caption saying that even in the storm, one should always remember to show grace for getting by. “Not every strength looks like bravery. Sometimes, it’s simply holding on,” one of the captions stated.

Her post also stressed that healing is not forgetting, but it is demanding what is better. “Resilience has limits. We can’t keep surviving what could’ve been prevented,” she stressed in her post.

Jodi said that Filipinos are one of the strongest and most resilient people she knows. She highlighted that Pinoys would really rise after calamity and would even find ways to smile even after devastating events.

However, the actress said that this should not just be the story of Filipinos. She asked if the typhoon’s effects could be mitigated, as the country suffers from this every year. “Or was it the failure of those who were meant to protect us? What part did we play in this?” she continued.

Jodi said that she was praying for the healing of each one. Then, she had this message for those who are supposed to know ways to prevent the devastating effects of calamities.
