Netizens did not like this caption in the post shared by DILG
The Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) was slammed by netizens for its “Walang Pasok” announcement with “What’s up, Abangers?” caption.
The executive department of the Philippine government, which is responsible for promoting peace and order, ensuring public safety, and strengthening local government capability aimed to provide basic services to the citizens of the country, is headed by Secretary Jonvic Remulla.
As the country experiences the effect of typhoon Uwan on Sunday, November 9, local government units (LGUs) have declared work and class suspensions on Monday and Tuesday, November 10 and 11, 2025.

On the official Facebook page of DILG Philippines, a post was shared announcing the areas where class suspensions were declared, along with the suspension of work in government offices.
Although the post was helpful and informative, the caption did not sit well with netizens. “Mga Abangers, Wow. Malupit ang hagupit ni Uwan. Buong Luzon sapol,” the caption of the post stated.

The art card also stated this greeting: “What’s up, Abangers?” For many netizens, this kind of caption should not be used for a formal announcement like the agency was hyping it, amid the fact that the country is under a super typhoon.

Here are some comments.
