Chaos at Miss Universe 2025: Nawat Itsaragrisil Faces Ban After Miss Mexico Walkout Incident
MISS UNIVERSE 2025 – The Miss Universe Organization has made a bold move after a shocking altercation between Miss Universe Thailand’s National Director, Nawat Itsaragrisil, and Miss Mexico, Fátima Bosch.
The Miss Universe Organization (MUO) has officially barred Nawat Itsaragrisil, Miss Universe Thailand National Director, from participating in any activities related to the 74th Miss Universe pageant following a controversy involving Miss Mexico, Fátima Bosch.
The decision was announced by MUO President Raúl Rocha through a video statement posted on social media. The move came after a heated exchange between Nawat and Miss Mexico during a pre-pageant event on November 4, which led to several candidates walking out in protest.

According to the MUO, the incident was marked by “a lack of respect and public humiliation.” Rocha stressed that he “will not allow the respect and dignity of women in Miss Universe to be violated.” He also pointed out that Nawat seemed to have forgotten “the true essence of being a host.”
Reports suggest that the issue began when Nawat allegedly criticized Bosch for not posting enough about Thailand and for skipping certain shoots, despite agreeing to be filmed by a TV network. The MUO president expressed deep disappointment over what he described as Nawat’s “public humiliation and insult” toward Bosch.
In response to the situation, Rocha decided to postpone the sashing ceremony to prevent another confrontation between the two parties. He further announced that Nawat’s involvement in all Miss Universe activities would be limited or completely revoked this year.

To address the growing tension, the MUO has deployed a delegation and diplomatic experts to Thailand to help manage and de-escalate the situation. Rocha reaffirmed the organization’s commitment to maintaining Miss Universe as a platform for women’s empowerment and respect.
Following the public backlash and viral spread of the incident online, Nawat has reportedly issued an apology. However, the MUO’s decision remains firm—Nawat will no longer be allowed to participate in Miss Universe events for the remainder of the pageant season.
