Ninong Ry slammed a social media post using his identity
Content creator and chef Ninong Ry warned the public against a post claiming that he is endorsing gambling.
The “ninong ng bayan” has millions of followers across different social media platforms. He is loved by many for his humor and approachable personality, aside from his talent in cooking, and the knowledge he imparts to those who also love to cook.
With his popularity and credibility when it comes to his profession and his job as a social media influencer, many brands have trusted him.

Over the years, Ninong Ry has already done collaborations with various brands, especially those that are in the food business category. However, there are also non-food brands that decided to get him as an endorser because they trusted his credibility.
On the other hand, in a recent Facebook post, the famous content creator debunked a claim from a brand. It was gambling.
Ninong shared a screenshot of a TikTok post of an online gambling site with his image on it. He said that his face was used with a generated voice to make it look like he was endorsing the gambling site.
He stressed that he is not endorsing any form of gambling. The content creator also warned the public to be careful of this because he knows that there are still other forms like this circulating on social media.
“Nagamit ang mukha at nilatagan ng generated na boses para mag promote ng sug@l jusko hindi po ako nagpopromote ng kahit anong ganto. Laban naman ng patas mga ser. Wag naman ganto. Ingat po tayo. Maging mapanuri. Hindi lang ako ang ginaganto. Marami pa kaya mas maging maingat tayo please,” he wrote in the caption of his post.
In the comment section of his post, Ninong Ry received support from netizens saying that the gambling site should be reported, while some criticized people who are using AI for their personal gain to the point of harming others.
