Just recently, the new spokesperson of the Department of Justice was introduced. It is because former spokesperson Atty. Mico Clavano was transferred to the Ombudsman’s office.
Before becoming the new spokesperson, Martinez served as the agency’s prosecutor. On October 23, 2025, he conducted his first press conference, and he reported on the 887 human bones that were found at the Taal Lake and nearby areas. This is still related to the search for evidence through DNA testing from the bones recovered to determine if these were connected to the missing sabungeros.
