Coco Martin will portray Andres Bonifacio in biopic
Kapamilya actor Coco Martin said that his Andres Bonifacio movie will surely leave a mark.
Coco is known for his action series airing on the primetime slot of the Kapamilya network. His current series FPJ’s Batang Quiapo continues to give action-packed scenes to avid viewers.
However, Coco admitted in a recent interview that because of these scenes, the Movie and Television Review and Classification Board (MTRCB) would call his attention. The actor was actually thankful for this because for his, this is a “guidance” from the board, headed by chairperson Lala Sotto.

In a recent media conference, it was announced that Coco Martin will do a biopic, titled May Pag-Asa: The Battles of Andres Bonifacio. Based on the article in ABS-CBN Entertainment, this is set to be released in 2027.
Coco Martin shared how the Andres Bonifacio project came about. Pumapasok lahat ng napapag-kuwentuhan namin,” the actor shared.
Then, projects were presented to him and among what caught his attention were the On The Job prequel and the Bonifacio biopic.

He also share that he wanted his return to the big screen to be worth watching. As they were discussing the project, developments were done. They wanted it big, not just for the Philippines, but for the global audience as well.
The actor also expressed how proud he is of their team. He shared that it has long been his dream to work with award-winning screenwriter Michiko Yamamato and this came true now.
