This was timely since the anomalous flood control projects have been a hot topic. Several politicians were named as allegedly characters in the said corruption. However, denial also came. Filipinos have been waiting for the result of the investigation, but until now, no politicians who were allegedly involved in this have been punished.

The administration has formed the Independent Commission for Infrastructure (ICI) through Executive Order No. 94, intending to investigate irregularities in flood control projects and all national government infrastructure works throughout the years.
