Kapuso actress Carla Abellana shared the video she took two years ago showcasing the luxury cars of contractors Curlee and Sarah Dicaya.
The Discayas caught the attention of the online community after Pasig City Mayor Vico Sotto called out veteran journalists Korina Sanchez and Julius Babao for featuring the lavish lifestyle of the Discayas.
This came after President Bongbong Marcos released a list of construction companies allegedly involved in the anomalous flood control projects.
The Discaya couple showcased their rags-to-riches story, their properties they accumulated over the years, and this included their collection of luxury cars parked in a building.
When this issue blew up, Carla Abellana shared that she remembered shooting in that area a couple of years ago, and that was the reason why it was familiar to her.
In a recent post that was shared on Facebook, the Kapuso actress shared a video she took two years ago. She saw the old video in her phone’s gallery. It can be heard that the actress was humming a tune while she was taking the video. The actress also showed admiration for the luxury cars.
In the caption of her post, she wrote, “Back then i didn’t know who the Discayas were or who the building even belonged to. But upon seeing the garage (where we couldn’t even park due to the lack of space) i knew right away that there was something fishy about their ‘business,'”
In the comment section of her post, netizens expressed dismay, especially that the investigation appeared to be dragging. A netizen asked Carla Abellana what project she did in that area with the Discayas’ luxury cars.
The actress shared that this was for the Kapuso series A Stolen Life. A netizen commented that it was indeed “stolen.”
