Coco Martin talked about his upcoming movies
Kapamilya actor-director Coco Martin shared that he has been waiting for the opportunity to work with award-winning director Erik Matti.
A media conference was recently held for Coco’s two upcoming films, “On the Job: Maghari” at “May Pagasa: The Battles of Andres Bonifacio.”
He will be working with Direk Eric and Dondon Monterverde of Reality Entertainment. His CCM Productions is also involved in these movies.
During the media conference, based on the article in Bandera, Coco Martin admitted that he waited to get the attention of Direk Erik and Dondon. He anticipated that a project might be offered to him, but for a long time, this did not happen.
“Siguro sa mata ko kaya ko makapag-action, or drama, makaarte ng konti, pero siguro kanya-kanyang panlasa eh, so baka sa panlasa nila Sir Dondon at Direk Erik, baka hindi pa ‘ko enough,” the Kapamilya actor said.
Then, he received an offer from Reality Entertainment, and it was an overwhelming feeling for him. “Kinilabutan na ‘ko. Kasi, ang tagal kong hinintay ito. Ang tagal kong pinangarap na makatrabaho sila.” he said.
Coco also shared that there were several projects pitched to him, and while they were discussing, he mentioned to Dondon that he really waited for this because he is a big fan of OJT and Buy Bust movies. During their meeting every week, the story has developed.
They were also considering the global market while discussing the details of the project. Coco Martin also shared that when it comes to casting, he wanted people will already have an interest just by stars included in the movie.
Currently, Coco’s Kapamilya action-drama series FPJ’s Batang Quiapo continues to entertain its avid viewers, who include this in their regular primetime viewing every weeknight.
