Pinky Amador had this “hirit” against Anthony Taberna’s bakeshop
Seasoned actress Pinky Amador stood in front of Ka Tunying’s, the bakeshop owned by broadcaster Anthony Taberna, but she wanted to buy “fake news.”
To recall, Anthony went viral because of his fiery statement against Senator Risa Hontiveros. This was prompted by the Senator’s declaration that she has no bicam insertions and was connected to the anomalous flood control projects.
In a Facebook post on October 3, she said that she did not sign the bicam and voted “no” for the controversial 2025 budget. She had this statement following the claim that almost all senators in the 19th Congress had insertions or amendments in the national budget.
Taberna slammed the Senator. He stressed that there is nothing illegal in insertions, unless the senator or the congressman would intervene on how it should be spent.
“Kaya ‘yong reaksiyon ni Sen. Risa Hontiveros, medyo nakakagulat, bakit ba gano’n? Masama ba ang amendment per se? Hindi po. Kaya nakakagulat po na sasabihin niyang fake news ang atin pong sinabi o ipinahayag,” the broadcaster said, based on the article in MSN.
Then, Taberna showed documents allegedly stating that Hontiveros had budget allocations for several infrastructure projects. On the other hand, he said that he was not accusing Hontiveros, and that he just wanted a clarification.
Supporters of the Senators fired back at Taberna. They criticized him for allegedly spreading fake news.
Just recently, a video of Pinky Amador circulated online. Netizen @error_ofsignificance shared this on Reddit under r/ChikaPH. In the video, the seasoned actress was at the airport. She was walking toward Ka Tunying’s bakeshop.
Just in front of the store, Pinky said while at the camera, “Bibili sana ako ng fake news.” She was pointing at the store. Then, the camera focused on the store’s logo. After that, the camera was focused on the actress as she flashed a “peace sign” while smiling.
