Barbie Forteza showed empathy with earthquake victims
Kapuso Primetime Princess Barbie Forteza donated money to be used in relief operations for the earthquake victims in Cebu.
On the night of September 30, a 6.9 magnitude earthquake was recorded in Cebu. This destroyed infrastructure and caused the death of many Cebuanos. Nearby provinces also experienced the quake.
Following the strong earthquake, aftershocks were recorded as people of Cebu strived to get up from this calamity.

Several Cebuano celebrities offered prayers for the people of Cebu after the earthquake. Through social media, showbiz personalities encouraged the whole nation to pray for Cebu.
Divine Diva Zsa Zsa Padilla extended help for earthquake victims. She gave food packs and monetary aid. After this, it was reported that It’s Showtime host Kim Chiu was spotted buying construction materials to help the earthquake victims rebuild their houses. BINI member Aiah also had her own initiative to extend help to earthquake victims.
Aside from them, Barbie Forteza also extended help. Based on the article in Inquirer, the Kapuso Primetime Princess donated P100,000 to the non-governmental organization Save the Children Philippines. She is an ambassador of this organization.

In a post on Instagram post, the organization wrote, “Children in Cebu are still reeling from the earthquake and aftershocks, with some forced to sleep outside in the rain. To support urgent relief and children’s education, Sparkle GMA actress and Save the Children Philippines Ambassador Barbie Forteza donated P100,000 for our response and called on the public to help children in need.”
Save the Children Philippines thanked the actress for this. Barbie was quoted by the organization. She said that children have the right to protection and education even amid a difficult situation.
The actress also hoped that more people would unite to support the children of Northern Cebu. “Because they deserve to feel safe, cared for, and hopeful again,” the actress said.
