Kim Chiu extends help to her fellow Cebuanos
Kapamilya actress Kim Chiu was spotted buying construction materials to help Cebu earthquake victims rebuild their homes.
Kim had a humble beginning in the entertainment industry. She was one of those Pinoy Big Brother aspirants who waited for hours during the audition. Fortunately, she was chosen to be one of the housemates for the first teen edition of the Kapamilya reality show.
Kim’s dream came true. She was hailed as the big winner, and opportunities in showbiz poured over her. Two decades later, she continues to reap the fruits of her hard work.
With the success she found in the entertainment industry, Kim Chiu is known for her generosity, just as she did recently. A couple of days after the 6.9 magnitude earthquake that hit Cebu on September 30, Kim’s fan page, Kim Chiu Global on X formerly Twitter, shared her photos visiting a supplier of construction materials.
It was said that the actress personally bought construction materials to help rebuild for earthquake victims in Bogo City and San Remigio, Cebu.
Another post showed appreciation for Kim’s effort in helping her fellow Cebuanos. The post also said that the Kapamilya actress did this quietly in the middle of her taping in Cebu for the series Alibi with her onscreen partner Paulo Avelino.
Meanwhile, Kim Chiu was one of the celebrities who expressed frustration regarding the current corruption issue in the Philippines. She criticized the corrupt officials who are involved in the anomalous flood control projects.
Kim even had a fiery statement against Senator Rodante Marcoleto, who is accused of deciding with contractors Curlee and Sarah Discaya. However, the actress deleted that post, and her fans guessed that it was because supporters of former President Rodrigo Duterte would once again bash her.
