Rhian Ramos shared her thoughts on the corruption issue
Kapuso actress Rhian Ramos expressed happiness that Filipinos are now speaking up against corruption.
Rhian has been in the entertainment industry for several years already. She managed to achieve a certain longevity in showbiz. Even though the actress is in the entertainment industry, she somehow had a glimpse of politics.
It is because her boyfriend is businessman-politician Sam Verzosa, who previously served as Tutok To Win party-list representative. In the 2025 midterm elections, Sam ran for Mayor of Manila, but unfortunately, he did not win.
During the campaign period, Rhian Ramos joined him. The actress admitted in the past interview that she initially opposed her boyfriend’s decision to enter politics, but when she saw that Sam was dedicated to serving, she supported him.
Rhian was one of the celebrities who spoke about the corruption issue in the country. “I feel like I’ve had a very big angst about corruption in the government ever since I was a toddler. I grew up, bata pa lang ako, naririnig ko na ‘yung, ‘so corrupt,’” the Kapuso actress said, based on the article in The Philippine Star.
As a little girl, Rhian shared that she had already encountered the term corruption through her sister, who would say, “corrupt” in a sassy way.
She does not mind expressing her feelings towards this issue because the country is so angry about this. “Ang dami nang nag-suffer. And how many generations already. Ang laki na nang problema. I don’t know if it’s solvable in a few years lang,” she said.
Rhian Ramos also said that she is happy that this issue is out and that everyone is talking about it, and criticizing what should be criticized. She is hoping that true change will happen.
