Kapuso actress Carla Abellana wished that before this year ends, corrupt officials would be imprisoned.
Carla always speaks for what she believes. She’s not afraid to express her thoughts on certain issues in the Philippines. The actress would share her thoughts through social media on things that also concern the public, like the basic services Filipinos need.
Because of her speaking up, she was tagged “Patron Saint of Call Out and Accountability.” For some people, she is the “Patron Saint of Concerned Citizens.”
With the recent corruption issue in the country, Carla Abellana was also one of the celebrities who expressed her thoughts on this.
In a recent interview on the Kapuso afternoon talk show Fast Talk with Boy Abunda, Carla was asked about her wish before 2025 ends as part of the “Fast Talk” segment. “May mga makulong na mga korap!” the actress said, which amused people in the studio. Then, she said, “At least hindi mamatay!”
Carla apparently was referring to the wish of veteran journalist Kara David for her 52nd birthday. Kara’s video went viral, in which she wished that all the corrupt would die. Many netizens wished her wish would come true. There were funny memes that were created from this.
In the same interview, Carla admitted that she was tempted to enter politics because of what is happening in the country. However, she thought that she did not want to do this for the wrong reason.
Meanwhile, the actress now has a happy love life. She somehow had a “soft launch” with the guy she currently dates on her social media page. The actress confirmed that she is dating, but stressed that the guy is not a foreigner.
Carla Abellana said that she now prefers a non-showbiz guy. To recall, her breakup with actor Tom Rodriguez was quite controversial, and this created a loud buzz in the entertainment industry. That past experience in a relationship brought a new perspective to her.
