Paolo Contis and Lian Paz’s marriage has been annulled
Kapuso actor Paolo Contis was asked about the marriage of his ex-wife, Lian Paz, to basketball player John Cabahug.
Paolo and Lian’s relationship and breakup were controversial. For many years, there was conflict between them, and the actor never had that father-daughter relationship with his kids with Lian. They got married in 2009, and three years later, they separated.
Fortunately, the reconciliation happened between the ex-couple last August. The actor shared an appreciation post for John and shared some photos of their bonding moment with Lian’s family.
Through that, the actor was reunited with his daughters, and this was something that made fans happy.
Just recently, Lian Paz wed her longtime partner, John Cabahug. The basketball player shared photos on his Instagram account taken during their civil wedding. This took place in Mandaye City Hall in Cebu.
John posted on his Instagram account photos of his and Lian’s civil wedding that appeared to take place at the Mandaue city hall in Cebu.
“I love you forever, Lian. To everyone who wishes me and Lian the best on our wedding day, we see all your messages. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts,” John wrote in the caption of his post.
Lian also shared a post on her Instagram account about this special day in their life as a couple. Her daughters Xonia, Xalene, and Nina all have their important parts in the wedding.
Xonia and Xalene are Lian’s children with Paolo, while Nina is her daughter with John. Based on the article in the Philippine Star, Paolo confirmed to entertainment writer Gorgy Rula of Pilipino Star Ngayon and PEP that his marriage to Lian was annulled a few months ago.
With this, Lian and John’s marriage pushed through. When the actor was asked about his reaction to Lian and John’s legal union, he simply answered, “I’m happy for them.”
