An old video of Shuvee Etrata resurfaced
Kapuso actress Shuvee Etrata received bashing for expressing her support for former President Rodrigo Duterte.
Shuvee’s showbiz career skyrocketed when she joined the reality show Pinoy Big Brother. Many viewers loved her personality, and even though she was not the big winner, more doors in showbiz opened for her.
The Cebuana celebrity admitted that PBB really changed her life. Aside from the opportunities she received after her stint, she also learned to slowly forgive her father when she was inside the PBB house.
Shuvee Etrata gained more fans after her stint on the reality show. Even celebrities have expressed their fondness towards her. However, there was still negativity about her that circulated online.
Reddit user @Royal_Cake_3883 shared under r/ChikaPH a clip showing Shuvee’s statement about FPRRD. Based on the caption ,this was a snippet from the Kapuso star’s social media live on March 12, 2025.
Shuvee was speaking Cebuano in the video and the uploader translated this to: “Naiyak talaga ako kagabi, empath kasi ako. kasi sa lugar namin, ang laki ng naitulong ni PRRD.. like ang drugs talaga guys.. ang laki niyan na thing. ewan ko lang sa inyo pero nagpapasalamat talaga ako kay Duterte.”
In the comment section of the post, netizens criticized Shuvee. A netizen called her “pretentious.” Here are some comments.
In another Reddit post by @dumptytine, a screenshot of Eric John Salut, Social Media Head of Dreamscape and ABS-CBN, was shared. “DDS pala ampotah! Kadiri!!!!” the media executive wrote in a post on X, formerly Twitter. With this, Kapamilya fans wished that she would no longer be given stints in the noontime show It’s Showtime.
Then, Eric also reposted a tweet criticizing Shuvee Etrata’s statement about the former President. As of this writing, the Kapuso actress has not yet released a statement regarding this issue.
