Ivana Alawi was one of the celebrities who joined the September 21 rally
Netizens speculated about the intention of actress-vlogger Ivana Alawi in joining the protest last Sunday.
Ivana also went out to the streets to join the rally on September 21. She also shared a post about this on her Instagram page with 11.4 million followers.
The Kapamilya actress is one of the most followed female celebrities in the Philippine entertainment industry. She is known for her vlogs that would easily get millions of views on her YouTube channel with 19.7 million subscribers.
Ivana Alawi took part in the rally against corruption along with other Kapamilya stars. “Ang laban na ito ay para sa kinabukasan ng Pilipinas. Tigilan na ang pagnanakaw! Tigilan na ang pangungurakot! MAHIYA NAMAN KAYO!” she wrote in the caption of her post featuring her photos and video taken during the rally.
Although this received positive comments and messages of support from fans and her fellow celebrities, Ivana also received bashing. Netizens accused her of doing this for her content, and some anticipated that she would just make a vlog from this.
Some comments also brought up the rumors linking Ivana Alawi to the Lone District of Santa Rosa, Laguna Representative Dan Fernandez. For netizens, she should also call out her rumored “boyfriend.”

This was recalled in July when photos showing that Ivana and Dan had the same closet and kitchen surfaced online. It was also rumored that they had a child. However, a source close to the actress denied this.
In a Reddit post about Ivana joining the rally also received negative reactions. For them, it is just for her vlog, and they were already anticipating this.
