Carla Abellana continues to be vocal about the causes she is supporting
Kapuso actress Carla Abellana had this reaction when asked about being tagged as “Patron Saint of Concerned Citizens.”
Carla is one of the celebrities in the Philippine entertainment industry who vocally expressed their views and opinions when it comes to social issues and political topics. The actress is known for being an advocate of animal rights.
She actively posts and shares stuff regarding abandoned or abused animals and how people can take part in this cause.

Carla was previously tagged as “Patron Saint of Calling Out and Accountability.” It was because of her posts calling out basic services for not giving appropriate service, just like what she experienced with her water service and internet providers.
The actress also shared a post about the corruption issue in the flood control projects, and she even had a fiery one-liner to the news about former President Rodrigo Duterte’s lawyer’s statement about the claim that he has “impaired memory.“
With her bravery to call out certain people or groups, Carla Abellana received admiration from many people. In a recent interview for their movie Selda Tres, an official entry in the full-length category in 7th Sinag Maynila, based on the article in Pang-Masa, the actress stressed that injustice happens every day, and the Philippines can relate to this.
“It happens everyday, ang injustice po, at dapat everyday po nating ilalaban kung ano po ‘yung tama,” she said.

Then, the actress admitted that she did not know where or how the tag “Patron Saint of Concerned Citizens” came from.
“Hindi ko nga po alam kung saan nanggaling ‘yan (patron saint of concerned citizens). Basta ako lagi ko lang sinasabi of course na handa kong ipaglaban kung ano ang tama o kung may injustice man or makabuluhan na dapat ipaglaban, ipagtanggol, gagamitin ko ang boses ko saka pangalan ko,” she stressed.
The actress added that she has the opportunity to be heard, and this was the reason why she was trying her best to use her platform.
